Pilates is a perfect distraction. It heightens body awareness and has the power to make you feel stronger and better able to cope with chronic pain.
The practice involves mindful movement and breath. It awakens the parasympathetic nervous system helping us relax and recharge our energy.
I've worked in sales, training and coaching over the years and grateful to combine these skills to help you enjoy the magic of Pilates in a local venue, the workplace or at home.
Pilates can improve flexibility, balance, and posture. Over time it builds muscle strength, tightens our core and may reduce pain helping us feel empowered.

When we're self empowered we understand our strengths and weaknesses and we're motivated to learn and achieve. We have a more positive outlook whether in recovery or in feeling a sense of ownership and control over our health.
Oh and it happens to have my name in it - bonus!

We do plenty of release stretches to reduce tension and stress which trigger endorphins, our fabulous mood boosting hormones which make us feel good!
Group Classes are mixed ability, workplace and private/semi privates are tailored to needs using own bodyweight and optional small equipment.
We'll focus on strengthening and lengthening as well as stamina and balance. All based on Joseph Pilates' 6 key principles:- Concentration, Centre, Control, Breath, Precision & Flow.
Poor posture can lead to a variety of health problems, including back pain, headaches, and poor circulation. Our Pilates classes focus on building core strength and improving alignment to help you stand tall, sit straight and move with greater ease. You'll feel more confident and comfortable in your body with every class.
Balance is essential for maintaining mobility and preventing falls as we age. Our Pilates classes include exercises that challenge your balance and stability, helping you improve your coordination and proprioception. You'll feel stronger and more confident on your feet with every class.
Pilates is not just a physical exercise; it also helps you develop a deeper connection between your mind and body. Our classes emphasize breath work and body awareness to help you tune into your body and reduce stress. You'll leave class feeling more centered and grounded.
Pilates is a great way to tone and sculpt your muscles without adding bulk. Our classes use controlled movements and resistance to help you build longer, leaner muscles. Sorry 6 pack not guarranteed but you'll feel stronger and more toned with every class!
If you're recovering from an injury, Pilates can be a great way to regain strength & mobility. Your certified instructor has personal experience in this & works with clients who are recovering from injuries & illnesses. You're offered different levels for each exercise and hands on/verbal corrections in line with specific needs & preferences.
Flexibility is essential for maintaining mobility and preventing injury. Our Pilates classes include exercises that focus on stretching and lengthening your muscles, helping you improve your range of motion and prevent stiffness. You'll feel more supple and limber with every class.
"Emma has taught me so much about Pilates, before going to her classes I was only going to Yoga as well as running with my dog. I needn’t have worried because I have been completely satisfied with Emma's classes which are very well prepared and organised with options covering all abilities and experience (plus injury!). There is variety every week leading to a full body programme and added interest and challenge using small equipment. The venue is pleasant, light and airy and importantly there is available parking. How you always give alternative moves. I've done Pilates for many years but feel I've learnt a lot from Emma as she explains the fundamentals and I like the way she reminds us about our core and breathing so we don't forget!
